What is wrong with you Lakers?!?!
The Lakers are down 3-1. After watching the game last night, I noticed
the players on the team surrounding Kobe actually sucked except Gasol. Even though Kobe had an off night, the others should've picked up. The only other than Kobe I really like is Gasol. I know he was a tremendous addition to the team for the championship! I hope the team will do better at Boston to avoid losing the Finals.

Come on Lakers!!!!

Only 4 More Days!
I am waiting very anxiously for the WWDC on Monday the 9th! Steve Jobs will be doing the keynote for the conference and it is rumored that he will be introducing the SDK for the iPhone among other things. I am only focused on the SDK not the other things. The SDK will be opened to the developers and that means I will be able to get 3rd party softwares on my phone and not the web based applications which they suck. I hate doing the IMs on that web since it is not reliable.
Softwares I hope will be released on Monday:
iChat or AIM
Scripture
Bank
Wireless Remote
I also heard the .mac will be getting revamped and change to "mobile me." I wonder what that will be? Does that mean my mac accounts (I have three and yes, I'm that crazy!) will be changed and I have to notify everyone of my new emails? So many questions but will be answered Monday morning 11 a.m. MST.
NBA Finals

It is Thursday night and what does that means? It's the NBA Finals! This year will feature the Lakers and Celtics Does this mean that it will be the renewal of the rivalry that was classic? I grew up watching Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Abdul-Jabbar, Robert Parish, Danny Ainge, Kurt Rambis, the list goes on. The best of seven series will be the 11th time that Lakers and Celtics faced each other in the finals. Boston won 8 out of their 16 championships against the Lakers. The Celtics haven't been champions since 1986 and the Lakers had a "3-peat" from 2000-2002. If the Lakers win the finals, it will be Phil Jackson's 10th championship and he will pass "Red" Auerbach for the most championships. They are currently tied at 9 championships.
I feel weird watching both teams in the playoff this year. Both teams traded during either off season or during the season for some prolific players. The Lakers got Gasol during the season to play with Kobe, Odom, and Fisher and the Celtics traded off season for Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen to team with Paul Pierce to create the "Big Three." Even though I am a big fan of the Lakers, I really do like the Celtics this year.

What's up lately?
Finally I got around to do some blogging. The last time I've done it is back in January. That is how busy I've been!
What has happened lately?
I've been working at a five diamond hotel as a culinary chef and the hours there has been massive lately. I love the job there and working there definitely have great perks there! I can get good hotel rates, free foods, personal tailor, discounts at different hotels, VIPs, and learning different cuisines.
I've found few old friends from grade school in Facebook. I think Facebook is a good networking site since I've found a lot of people and it keeps me in touch with those since I've been busy lately. I will be seeing a couple of them this weekend and I hope I will be off! I can't wait to see them!
One more day of school for my two kids. Oh boy! This summer will be expensive and crazy! I will have to buy more foods for breakfast and lunch since they will be at home. I know my wife is not looking forward to that! We will have to discuss some plans for the kids so they will have a great summer. My baby is getting bigger everyday! Whenever I see her, I keep on getting shocked at how big she is since I worked a lot and don't see her that much. She is starting to stand on her own and pretty soon will start to walk. I'm not looking forward to that! I will have to baby proof the home more!
I know this is a short post but I'm going to watch few movies that I rented from Redbox since I'm off tomorrow and I don't have to wake up at 5 a.m.
Things I hope to do tomorrow:
*Clean my desk (too much stuffs on my desk)
*Pay bills
*Fix the websites (blogger & pictures)
*Catch up on emails
I think I can accomplish at least 2 of them since I will sleep in! I need all that sleep!!

WWDC 2008
Steve jobs did his annual Macworld San Francisco keynote on January 15, 2008 and was it a blast! There were several things that he did talked about. There were some new products and softwares that was being updated and released.
Leopard:
5 million copies of leopard software were sold in just 3 months! That is some number! 20% upgraded to leopard and I am one of those proud upgrader from the day it was released!
Time capsule:

Apple released a new time capsule. It is same as airport extreme but with hard drive in it. You won't have to plug/unplug the hard drive for time machine which can be a pain sometime. There are 2 versions: 500 GB version - $299, 1 TB $499.
iPhone:
It has been 200th day since iPhone went on sale and there are 4 million iPhones sold. Today, there will be a new software upgrade for the iPhone while we wait for the SDK in Feburary. The upgrade will have:
* Maps with location, Webclips, Customize home screen, SMS multiple people
* Lyrics
* Webclips (website bookmarks on your home screen) will remember where you zoomed/panned to. You can create up to 9 of them.
* Chapter options and language capability in iPod mode
iTunes Movies Rentals:
Jobs talked about iTunes movie rentals. There will be over 1000 movies (available 30 days after DVD release). You can watch the movies on your Macs, PCs, all current iPods and iPhone. After renting the movie, you will have 30 days to start watching and 24 hours to finish the movie once you start.
Apple TV:
There will be Apple TV software, and no computer are required as the current one Apple TV did. You will be able to rent movies on Apple TV. You can view photos from Flickr & .Mac. There will be synching with iTunes on your computer. Music can also be bought from within Apple TV and the new software will be out in about 2 weeks. Apple has reduced the price of Apple TV from $299 to $229. Once the software is released, I would consider buying the Apple TV since there are more things to do and not required to have a computer.
"There's something in the air"
Apple are introducing a third kind of notebook today. It's called the MacBook Air, "the world's thinnest notebook." MacBook Air is 0.16" to 0.76". The thickest part of the MacBook Air is thinner than the thinnest part of the Sony. It fits inside a envelope! The display is LED backlit. iSight is also built-in. Multi-touch trackpad that can move a window by double-tap and move, rotate a photo by pivoting your index finger around your thumb, and pinch-zoom. it is similar to the iPhone. The price is $1799. That is pretty hefty for a laptop but it sure is a nice laptop! For more information, just go to the website.
The 2008 Macworld was one of the best. So many good things are coming and there are some disappointments also. I really was hoping for the announcement of iPhone 2 with 3G and bigger memory capacity but I know they will come!

Something In The Air?
When I went to Apple's home page to see what's new, I can see that Apple had updated their page to have viewers to watch the keynote on Tuesday afternoon. It got me wondering what it could be? Wireless sync for my iPhone? Upgrade AppleTV? New Macbook? New iPhone with 3G? My mind is still brainstorming but I will know after following live blogging by few people either by Twitter or live blogs.

I gave up!
I finally gave up and got the Apple iPhone after waiting for two and half months! I went to the Apple store at Gateway Mall in Salt Lake City and got me a 4 GB iPhone. Now why did I get it? After reading about Apple had just sold a million iPhone in less than three months! ONE MILLION... I was surprised to hear that! Also Apple dropped the price from $499-599 to $299-399. After that $200 drop, I knew that that it was a good time to get it! Today I got off work, I went to the store to pick up the iPhone, I was so excited when I had the box in my hand! But unfortunately, I have to wait several more hours before I could get home to activate and use the iPhone since I made a deal with my wife to take her and the family out for dinner. That is the only way I could get the iPhone! I cannot wait to play with the device all night long! Ok now, let's hurry up and eat!!!
